Rider Cut Leather Jacket

The Rider Cut Leather Jacket represents a significant exploration in both
craftsmanship and design. Constructed from 16oz calfskin leather, this jacket balances durability with a refined, timeless aesthetic. It was patterned from scratch, marking my first experience sewing a leather jacket, and is designed with both form and function in mind.

The jacket features a J-cut sleeve that naturally curves with the arm, providing an ergonomic fit. Its cropped, boxy body creates a modern silhouette, while double zippers enhance comfort and mobility, particularly for riders. Multiple back darts offer increased freedom of movement, ensuring the jacket remains practical without sacrificing style. Zipper pockets with tassels are included for ease of access and a distinctive finishing touch.

This piece merges classic leather jacket design with contemporary functional details, offering a seamless integration of style, comfort, and durability.
